William F. Bacheler, CPA – Managing Partner
Bill grew up in Cherry Hill, N.J and currently resides in Medford, N.J. He graduated from Bucknell University in 2006 with a B.S. in Mathematics and started his career at Bacheler and Company shortly thereafter. While working at Bacheler and Company, Bill obtained a M.S. in Accounting from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. Bill is licensed as a CPA in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Bill is the managing partner and director of operations for the firm and the driving force behind the firm’s marketing efforts in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas. He is also in charge of the training of the firm’s staff and the firm’s continuous learning initiative. His areas of expertise include accounting, auditing, and tax services for small to medium-size businesses and their owners. Additionally, he has extensive experience relating to medical practices and physicians, retailers, not for profits, retirement plans, and other employee benefit plans. Bill also works with the firm’s high net worth clients to optimize tax planning strategies. Bill has many hobbies outside of the office including tennis, cycling, spending time with friends and family, sampling local restaurants with his wife Edyta, and spending the summers in Ocean City, New Jersey on the beach and boardwalk with his two children, Olivia and Brandon.
Melissa M. DeNick, CPA – Partner
A native of Southington, Connecticut, Melissa attended Villanova University and obtained a B.S. in Accounting. Melissa began her career with the accounting firm Deloitte and Touche in their audit department. She then moved on to US Foodservice and eventually joining Bacheler and Company in 2002. Melissa is licensed as a CPA in the State of New Jersey.
Melissa has diverse auditing, accounting and tax experience and her areas of expertise include small to medium-size businesses, supermarkets, not for profits, retirement plans, and employee benefit plans. In her spare time, Melissa spends time with her husband, Mark and three children, Haley, Cole, and Mason.
William J. Bacheler, CPA – Partner
Bill is from Somers Point, N.J. He attended Villanova University and obtained a B.S. in Accounting. He was employed by South Jersey accounting firms from 1975 until 1978, at which point he relocated to the Philadelphia area and joined the firm Jungers & O’Connell. He became a partner in the firm in 1982 and at the retirement of his partners, founded Bacheler and Company. Bill is licensed as a CPA in the State of New Jersey, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the State of New York.
Bill is the former managing partner of the firm and his areas of expertise include providing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to medical practices, construction firms, manufacturing and distribution companies, supermarkets, labor unions, retirement plans, employee benefit plans, not for profits, credit unions, and service companies. He also has extensive experience as an advisor to businesses and in providing accounting solutions for business startups. When Bill is not at the office, he enjoys reading, gardening, fishing, automobiles and going to the shore with his wife, Amy.
Louis Pavlovitch, CPA – Manager
Lou currently resides in Springfield, PA. He obtained his B.S. in Accounting from Drexel University. Lou began his career in public accounting in 1988. In 1990, Lou joined Bacheler & Company and was an integral part of the firm for twelve years. In 2002, he made a change in his career to work for two regional accounting firms in Pennsylvania. Lou has recently rejoined Bacheler & Company as an account manager and an integral member of the firm’s team. Lou is licensed as a CPA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. With approximately thirty-five years in public accounting, Lou is involved in all aspects of the firm’s accounting, auditing and tax practice. Lou has a broad range of skills and experience providing accounting, auditing and tax services to our commercial and not-for-profit clients. His areas of expertise include accounting, auditing, and tax services for small to medium-size businesses, nonprofit organizations, retirement plans and employee benefit plans. In his free time Lou enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and various sports.
Lon Pham, CPA – Senior Accountant
Lon is from and currently resides in Cherry Hill, NJ. Lon graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Finance. Lon started his career in Supply Chain and Logistics Management at Target. Lon then transitioned into Retail Management for SuperValu, then Operations Management at Pepsico. Lon’s change to career in Accounting began in 2016 when he joined Bacheler and Company as a staff accountant. While working for Bacheler and Company, Lon obtained his B.S. in Accounting in 2017. He subsequently passed the CPA exam in 2018. Lon is currently licensed in the state of New Jersey. Lon’s expertise includes accounting and auditing for retirement plans and other employee benefit plans, nonprofit organizations, supermarket retailers, and small to medium size businesses. In his spare time, Lon enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and watching Philadelphia sports.
Amy Bacheler – Staff Accountant and Office Manager
Amy is from and currently resides in Cherry Hill, N.J. She attended Rutgers University and graduated in 1980 with a B.A. in Accounting. She spent her early career working at various public accounting firms in South Jersey and has been an integral employee of Bacheler and Company in various capacities for almost thirty years. Amy also serves as our office manager and administrator.
Amy is able to provide accounting services for small to medium-size businesses as well as small defined contribution and profit-sharing plans. She is also an expert in providing payroll tax return services to businesses and other organizations.
